Watermelon Steaks

Ingredients:

  • 1-2 Small watermelons

  • 1 tsp sea salt

    Marinade

  • 4 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2 tsp balsamic vinegar

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 1 tsp tomato paste

  • 2 spring onions

  • 1 tsp liquid smoke

  • Pinch Sea Salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 395F.

  2. Cut the peel off the watermelons.

  3. Place them on lined baking tray. Sprinkle them with sea salt.

  4. Bake in oven for 90-120 minutes.

  5. While the watermelons are in the oven, mix your marinade.

  6. When time is up, take watermelons out and score them slightly using a knife.

  7. Pour half the marinade over the watermelons.

  8. Cover tray and let them marinade for a while (overnight is amazing)

  9. Fire up the grill. Place the watermelons on a hot grill and pour marinade over it frequently. Make sure all sides gets nice and charred.

  10. When it looks done to you, cut it in thin slices and serve with your choice of potatoes and sauce.
