Vegan Yogurt

Ingredients:

  • 1 can full fat coconut milk (go for a premium quality)

  • 2 capsules vegan-friendly probiotic

Instructions:

  1. Use a coconut milk that does not look grainy. We need it to be nice and smooth. High quality can make that possible.

  2. Shake your coconut milk well and pour into a 32 oz jar.

  3. Empty your probiotic capsules into the yogurt. Use a wooden or plastic spoon to stir. Stir until creamy and smooth, pushing the probiotic up against the side with your spoon to evenly disperse.

  4. Cover the mixture with a breathable cloth like cheesecloth or a thin clean towel and secure it with a rubber band.

  5. Let the yogurt sit for at least 24 hours in a warm spot, up to 48 hours for tangier yogurt.

  6. You can use your warm house or an unheated oven with the light on. Once it's tangy and thick enough, refrigerate it.

  7. For Greek yogurt-like consistency, strain it overnight.

  8. Enjoy coconut yogurt plain or with toppings.

  9. Add sweeteners or flavors if desired.

  10. Store in the fridge for up to 7 days, checking for any unusual smell or mold.
